Summer Fun Project - Sharpie Tie Dye

We had a very special guest blogger this week. In her (Y)ou (O)only (L)ive (O)once List, Victoria H. shared that she wanted to be an art teacher. This summer, she and her Mom did a great art project and they wanted to share (not only does this accomplish her desire to "Be An Art Teacher," but it also clearly illustrates her sweet nature of sharing and teaching).

Our CurtsyGirl (and fashionista), Victoria H. has a cool summer project to share with you!

Sharpie Tie Dye Tee-Shirts

What you need:
-White or light colored shirt
-Different colored "Sharpie" markers
-Thick rubber bands
-Rubbing alcohol
-A dropper or bottle with dropper attachment

Directions:
-Pinch and tightly twist an area and wrap two to three rubber bands at varying heights like you making a pony tail down the length of it.

-Color with Sharpie markers in any pattern.
-Using Rubbing alcohol in a dropper or small bottle with dropper attachment saturate the colored area.
-You can remove the rubber-bands immediately.
-Repeat as many times in all different spots on the shirt.

-When done, toss in dryer on high heat for 15 minutes to set the color.

*Wash in cold water*
