After spending time with her family at the beach and with
her friends at the pool, my little CG, TinyT was having hair issues, not to mention the
normal challenges of curly hair. To get her back into “Tip Top Condition” we
needed to work on her “tips” and her “top.”
Look through some magazines and consider a new look for your
hair. Consider reshaping your hair or updating your style to a more mature look
as the new school year begins.
Here is TinyTs "before" and "after" comparison!
Back to school is a great trim time. My CurtsyGirl is
growing her hair out – even longer than it already is, but we still need to
keep it trimmed to keep it healthy. Healthy hair promotes growth also. If you
are growing out your hair, just remember that long-unhealthy hair is not
attractive…just like an unhealthy young lady is not attractive.
I really like the clean edges of this look.
After your “tips” have been trimmed(*check this link for trimming tips*). Your “top” will likely still
need some work. TinyT ALWAYS needs a few good washings with shampoo specifically for chlorine treatment. They are hard to find but well worth it.
After your hair is stripped clean of all of that nasty
chlorine reside, try a great (and yummy-smelling deep conditioner). There are
so many to try but I love this one (but use what works best for your hair). We need a LOT of moisture for our coarse, curly locks.
On Pinterest, there are some great conditioners you can make
yourself. But, be sure to talk to your Mom prior to using items she night need
for dinner!
